BLAUPUNKT wins two Red Dot Awards

On 19 June, BLAUPUNKT, Häcker's own brand for built-in kitchen appliances, received a Red Dot Award in the Kitchen Appliances category
for its frameless induction cooktop with integrated extractor fan, the 5IX80290, as well as for the built-in wine cooler 5WK 610FF0.
The renowned international award convenes annually to honour products with outstanding design in a total of 51 categories.

The 43-member Red Dot jury assesses the products submitted according to the criteria functionality, aesthetics, usability and sustainability. The 5IX 80290 frameless standalone induction hob impressed the jury in particular with its integrated low-noise extractor fan with 10 power levels that are automatically activated during cooking. The jury also highlighted the wide range of innovative functions that enable both flexible cooking and grilling. These include the options to combine two cooking zones into one, a clear display with slider function that can be operated intuitively even with wet fingers, and overflow detection that enables clean working.

The 5WK 610FF0 built-in wine refrigerator also impressed the jury. "With its timeless, understated design and electronically controlled push-to-open system, this appliance integrates discreetly into any kitchen counter," the jury said in its statement. The wine refrigerator can hold up to 36 bottles, which can be stored on three pull-out solid wood shelves. Optimal storage conditions are created by the precise temperature system in the interior and by the anti-vibration system as well as by the tinted glass door with UV protection.
